PAWS For Life – Animal Welfare & Protection Society is a private, non-profit, no-kill shelter for dogs in Pueblo, Colorado. We are funded entirely by donors and grants. We are also supported by volunteers just like you who have a passion to advocate for the “underdog.” We have become a safe haven for strays, owner surrenders and even dogs from nearby shelters that need a little extra help finding a “forever home.”
The
PAWS For Life shelter houses 50-60 dogs at any one time. Because
we are a no-kill shelter we will keep every furry resident until
it is adopted out or becomes too ill to treat.
We are very proud to announce that last year alone, we, with the help
of our donors, volunteers and adopting families, made approximately
400 “underdogs” into “wonderdogs!”
Or
in other words, 400 of our most loyal and trusting tenants found “forever
homes.”
We had 97 adoptions last month and looks like we are going to do as well
this month.
For this we would like to send out a very heartfelt and sincere thank you to all of those who have given these dogs a new leash on life. Your kindness has not gone unnoticed.
