At PAWS For Life – Animal Welfare & Protection Society we take the process of adopting a new family member quite seriously.
Due to the problems that can arise when someone is surprised with a “live” gift – we prefer that all potential adopters visit the shelter and visit our dogs in “pawson.”
You should bring the whole family, including dogs, to meet potential new
family members in our meet and greet area.
Pit bulls require a home check and all large breed dogs require a six foot fence.

Adoption fees are very affordable and vary depending on the age of the
animal. Please ask about fees if they are not posted.
Adoption Fees:
- $50.00/$60.00 over 8 years of age/with rabies shot
- $70.00/$80.00 5 - 8 years/ with rabies shot
- $80.00/$90.00 1.5 - 5 years/ with rabies shot
- $90.00/$100.00 5 months to 1.5 years/with rabies shot
- $120 for puppies up to 5 months

In accordance with state law if a puppy is not spayed/neutered, an extra
$50.00 must be added to the above fees and will be refunded when owner provides
proof that the animal has been spayed/neutered. A certificate will be issued
